I just found out that Sea Salt that is made by dehydrating sea water (ie: Hains) can be a source of heavy metal toxicity. It makes sense because the oceans are now very polluted. It's best to buy salts mined from ancient Sea Salt deposit beds such as Himalayan Pink Salt. That's what I am switching to. But they aren't iodized so I am also buying Natures Way Kelp (tablet or capsule form) as a natural source of Iodine which is more easily utilized by the body than pharmacuetical grade Iodine (which is added to common table salt ).
