Sorry, I don't know the answer to that question. I don't claim to have all the answers. What I would say is that you are supposed to feel something that leads you away from sin which keeps you in bondage to pleasing your physical senses.

God is love so how can that which is love hate anyone or anything? God loved you so much that He sent His only begotten Son to remove your suffering. He loves you and accepts you exactly the way you are. But He doesn't want you to stay exactly the way you are because then you would have to remain in suffering and death and that is not what God wants. God wants all beings to experience only love and life and never death. In order to accomplish that, you must come to the Son who is the Life, there is no other way.

I can completely relate to your sentiments on Christianity and how the way people teach it can turn people off to Christ. I was in that same boat myself a couple of years back and I didn't want to hear anything about Christ because of the complete lack of understanding and love that people bring to it.
