My husband has a large growth going from his navel to his spine. It's about 6 inches. He is having surgery in March. The Dr said it will be a problem if it's entangled in the intestines as he can't cut off the blood supply to the intestines. I am wondering WHAT will the Dr do than if that is the case? He also has a small tumor below his right kidney. He had prostate cancer 3 years ago and the prostate was removed. Now his PSA is 0.05 so I don't think this new problem is related to that. They are not doing a biopsy before surgery on these tumors. Does this sound like a hopeless situation? He is 70 years old and pretty healthy except for being a type 2 diabetic. Just wondering if anyone else has had a situation like this. I don't know anyone to talk to about it.
