New to site need candida advice

candida issues...I'd like to explain my issues and get some opinions of those who have dealt with it.

My symptoms: sore throat, lots of extra mucous, Depression and anxiety,sinus pain (ears, face, head) etc. Any of the books I've read that list out symptoms you can chalk me up for 85% of them. I suppose I should mention I'm a 30 year old male.

I've suspected I was dealing with candida for some time and of course my doctor politely disregarded my suspicions by testing for other things first. After he tested for what he thought it could be. ....all negative mind you he just kinda quit and said I should see a dermatologist For my rash symptoms.

I politely asked for a scrape or biopsy whatever it took to figure this rash out. He obliged and what do you know that thing grew yeast like crazy. Diagnosis candisis. ...


Here's my mild confusion I was able (prior to the skin doc) to get a blood test done for candida albicans which came back negative. None present in the blood.

Is it possible that it's not in the blood (if indeed fact) and still causing body wide symptoms? That's the part that makes me question or accepT. I've only been formally diagnosed with candisis of the skin.

I'm currently taking lamisil and have already taken a month of fluconazole. I also take an acidophilus pro bio 20bil per cap. I'm frustrated that my symptoms aren't greatly improving. Skin is doing better with creams and anti fungal but the mucous is still present and so are the sinus and mental symptoms.

Thoughts and help appreciated.
