Need your help!

I had a tooth extraction done three days before from Sierra Dental in Calgary. It was my upper back tooth and it took almost 40 minutes for extraction.The whole procedure went good but someone told that I will get pain in the coming days. No severe pain has been felt till now though I felt small pain for about one hour just after the procedure. Does anyone know about this? Do I need to get any medications from my dentist before it comes?
