Hi

Part of the water making you feel good might be from the negatively charged ions in the air. Nature (especially near water) have lots of negatively charged ions, whereas buildings and cities have very few neg charged ions.

I'm tinkering with the idea of getting a negative ion generator. Apparently they were popular in the 80's but I don't know why they aren't as popular now. Maybe they don't work too well? Most are marketed for cleaning the air because they clean the air of dirt and pollution. The Science behind it seems pretty convincing though.
