Spots on Tongue?

I had a dream that I was looking into a large mirror but only neck and up. I felt a pain in my mouth and I opened it, sticking out my tongue. In my dream, my tongue is a healthy pink but there's darker spots all over my tongue that were painful, the pain similar to when you burn your tongue with a hot drink.

I remember thinking 'ow' and I shut my mouth and I woke up.

It's a simple and odd dream, but I wondering if there's any message behind it?
