Tips for helping adrenal weakness.
I am on hydrocort, 20 mg 2X a day, but it is not enough to do the whole job on making me function well all day and night.
First, for me anyway, Livon's liposomal C helps about 10X better than ascorbic acid. If I take one of those packets early in the morning on an empty stomach it causes me to feel so much stronger. If I am stressed out, say by cold air in my lungs from outside, I take an extra and that works well. Taking extra ascorbic acid did not help me that way.
I do take ascorbic acid here and there, but it's not my primary form of C.
Also, I have learned that I personally have to keep my urine ph paper readings at 7.2 to 7.5. Especially if I get into the 6.5 range I will, before long, start to droop. I guess I need all the energy I can get.
It was hard for me to stay alkaline, though I try to eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies and to eat healthily in general. After much experimentation this is what I found helped:
Every day I put one tbsp. of True Lemon powder, and abt 2 tbsp. of frozen orange juice into a
quart jar and sip on that around the clock. I put some
Celery seed in, too, for lowering blood pressure - which really works that way but does not seem to affect alkalinity. I take the drink with a straw to protect my teeth from the acid. You can use lemon juice, whatever works for you but I think True Lemon tastes better, and is more convenient. It also comes in packets which you can keep in your purse or pocket for when you are away from home. It has no sugar.
Stay very warm and be very sure your iron is high enough. Low average isn't high enough. I used to have a doctor, now retired, who practiced for decades. He said that what they call "normal" in blood tests is just average. He said he watched "average" drop over the years - apparently due to things like toxins in the environment and depleted soils - and "normal" dropped right along with it. Go for optimal in blood tests, not just normal/average.
