Iodine and blood pressure

So this is purely anecdotal but two weeks ago I quit taking my blood pressure meds and I have not needed them at all. The only thing that I have done different is the addition of iodine and its co supplements to my regime two months ago or so.

Normally when I would try to get off them I would creep back up into the 140s/80s range. After two weeks off them and while I was working (i have a labor intensive job carrying water) in my cardiologists office the nurse took my reading and it was 112/63. I could barely achieve that with the meds. Also salt used to spike my bp but I have been salt loading since I started the iodine. So again it's anecdotal I know but nothing I've done in the past was able to do what is happening now.
