Spontaneous ejection of Mirena IUD
I had mirena for about 3 months when my body spontaneously ejected it.
I was spotting, and felt something poking me in the vagina from the inside. Went to the bathroom, reached in, and BAM, there was my IUD.
Called up the doctor, and got an appointment. They don't know why it happened, it could have been out of place for a while, they said I was lucky Iddidn't get pregnant. Then the doc immediately recommended inserting a new Mirena IUD! I said,"No way! It fell out! I'm lucky I didn't get pregnant!!!!It doesn't work!"
What I learned from this experience, IUD's are a foreign object. My body rejected it. My boyfriend also hated it. Said the strings felt like pin pricks on his penis during sex. Not fun.
I went back on the pill. I would rather not be on anything, but I would like to not be pregnant more than I would not like to be on hormonal pills.
