Re: Can you explain types of candida?

There are about 200 types of candida, although only about 24 of them have been known to affect humans. Candida albicans is the most common species, and other less common ones include C. krusei, C. dubliniensis, C. glabrata, C. tropicalis, C. parapsilosis, and C. guilliermondii.
Most tests don't differentiate between the different types and there are no visible traits between the species. Most visible forms are most likely going to be the fungal form.
Some information states that candida populations can double in an hour with adequate fuel supplies and no interference. It has an asexual life cycle that removes certain limitations.
