My struggle with Seborrhoeic dermatitis

Ive been suffering from symptoms of Seborrhoeic dermatitis for over 10 years.

And iam currently having some success battling it but I would like some advice.

Anyway let me get into a bit of backstory on my diet. Iam a Foody and ive been chubby for a lot of my life.

I worked in restaurants and you see many of chefs that are bigger.

But also most of my life I have drank Soda.

I got up to 211 pounds two years ago when I said to myself that I was sick of this BS.

I totally cut out the soda and sorted out my diet. I switched to only drinking unsweetened green tea and keeping track of calories with my fitness pal. I lost over 50 pounds doing this in the first year and ive been maintaining around my goal of 160 pounds for about another year.

I plan to keep up with this diet and stay away from all the sugars. I was taking in way too many before and it lead to me getting fat.

But about the Seborrhoeic dermatitis, at first it started as a problem with my ears. They would leak fluid and crust over and the skin was always aggravated. The problem for my ears lasted about a year or two on its own then it very slowly became less of a problem in my ears and it seemed to move to my scalp. I would get spots that would scale up with dead skin and they would be red patches on the scalp that always flaked off skin.

I started to form a bad habit of picking at my scalp and the dead skin from the spots of Seborrhoeic dermatitis on my scalp.

Sometimes it would flare up and it would start to creep down from my scalp on onto my face around my eye. The skin around the eye would be red and dry and cracking.

Ive tried to not pick at the spots but they just never seem to heal. They would continue to scab up with dead skin.

Tried using many different types of creams and trying to switch my shampoo.

For years ive only been using dr. bonners because I thought that other harsher soaps were aggravating it. Maybe this helps a little but not much.

So about two years ago I started taking Vitamins supplements (tangy tangerine) and changing my diet like I mentioned but the Seborrhoeic dermatitis didn't go away from taking the vitamins.

Along with taking the vitamins I got a bottle of Probiotics called Nightly Essence and I took them and they didn't cause any issues.

But a couple months later after those were gone I got a different bottle of Probiotics called Garden of Life ultimate defense and they seemed to make my Seborrhoeic dermatitis worse.

When I was taking them it would flare up and start to creep down my face around my eyes. And when I stopped taking them it subsided and if I started to take them again It would get worse around my eyes.

So I stopped using those and since then the area around my eye has been fine.

Ive still had spots on my scalp mostly around the back top and one spot at the very top that they seem to spread from. I had two small red spots on either side of the front that were always flaking skin.

I haven't been taking any Probiotics but I have kept up with vitamins and a good diet.

I think one of the strains of microbes in the garden of life was stressing my immune system and allowing the fungus that is the cause of my Seborrhoeic dermatitis to get worse.

Its hard to say but one of the microbes they add to it is a yeast but that yeast is supposed to be good against Seborrhoeic dermatitis. I cant but sure what is going on there.

Too many variables.

But I want to get a handle on what Probiotcs are going to kill the fungus that is the cause of my Seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Now let me tell you my good news of what I have been doing for the last couple of months.

I got really aggravated with my scalp and I was looking on the internet and I read a post about Sodium Bicarbonate. Ive also seen the work of that doctor who kills cancer with sodium bicarbonate who says that cancer is a fungus.

And I already knew that Sodium Bicarbonate was an antifungal for plants because it changes the PH of the leaf and molds cant grow on them.

So it made sense to me because I was already thinking that it was some kind of Scalp Fungus.

I started to put the Baking Soda on my scalp. First I showered with it and washed my hair and left a lot of the soda on my hair for a few hours and rinsed it out. Then for the next couple of days I sprinkled the baking soda on my head and around the target spots.

I started to notice a big improvement in just that first couple of days treatment.

The spots in the front cleared up and started to heal over like they had not done in a long time.

But something more interesting happened to the spot directly in the middle and top of my scalp. The skin at these spots is swollen and raised up a bit and if feels like a bump or a lump when they are inflamed. So its like a centralized infection.

At this spot on the top of my head I can only describe it as it "died". The baking soda killed the fungus that was living in that spot. A colony of fungus. I peeled away a large scab from the spot and it left a divit in my scalp. Like a small scoop out of the skin where the Seborrhoeic dermatitis used to be.

The skin healed over the next couple of days and weeks and now the Seborrhoeic dermatitis from that spot is totally gone.

When I was doing this baking soda I started to feel a soreness at the back of my neck. Just behind my ear on the left side and it seems to be one of my Lymphnodes that is swelling up during these dustings of baking soda.

So after that first time, it didn't kill off all the Seborrhoeic dermatitis but I decided to give it some off time to rest and let my swollen lymphnode calm down.

After a couple weeks the spot that died never came back but the other spots on my scalp seemed to lessen and retreat back to the colony in a way. They were not trying to spread but they were more contained into a few spots on the back of my scalp.

The next time I put baking soda on it the same thing happened to a spot on the right side of my head. The Seborrhoeic dermatitis died and I left a small divet in my scalp where the spot was that healed over.

But my lymphnode swelled again some also so I gave it more time to rest before trying to totally remove any of the other spots.

I apply the baking soda all over the scalp and try to pinch some of it right onto the problem area.

Right now I have about 3-4 spots still in my scalp that need to be removed but so far it seems like the Baking soda is taking them out and making it a lot harder for the fungus to thrive.

But Ive got a feeling that all this is starting from my Gut somehow.

Like the fungus starts there but it moves up to the scalp later.

Iam looking for some kind of probiotic that will kill off yeasts and fungus that live in the body.

I don't know a lot about which products are good for that.

And ive also been thinking of doing a Colon Cleanse with some Oxypowder because ive never done that before either an it might be good.
