Re: Mercury: selenium interactions and health implications

Hello Wombat, this is my first time on Curezone, and I've noticed when looking around you seem to know what your talking about.

I've been supplementing with Selenium, 50mcg a day for the last few weeks (partnering with Lugol's Iodine). This week, after spending 3 days throwing up I have figured selenium is the cause of my nasea. Lugols is helping with the Halide detox, I can feel it between my eyes/sinuses and lungs, so I'm excited to continue that detox. However selenium is incapacitating me and I'm nervous about continuing Lugol's without it. Selenium toxicity is not supposed to be a problem till after 400 mcg I thought. Any advice?

Fyi I also use DMSA/ALA to chelate mercury when I'm strong enough. My history includes autism spectrum behavior, stimming, seizures, hallucinations, learning disability, asthma etc. I get headaches and upper resperatiory infections after spending time at indoor pools, and can hardly bare to walk down the laundry detergent aisle.

Do you think I should stick with the selenium? Should I take it while chelating? Can I pulse it just like Lugol's and take 25 mcg for now?

I just joined Curezone so correct me if I am violating etiquette by posting questions like this rather than constructively adding to the convo.

thanks,

Bill
