If not taken with iodine, or at a wrong ratio vs iodine; it may cause hair loss; as it may worsen a hypo Thyroid condition.
Same as if one take Iodine only and not selenium.
A good ratio IMO is 50 mg of iodine, 100 mcg of selenium. But there are different ratios depending on where you live. Selenium is very low at some parts of the world, other parts it is very high.
