Pregnenolone vs progesterone

For anyone taking cortisol supporting supplements...how do you know you reaching tipping point from low to high cortisol without having to do test.

I am on 30 mg of pregnenolone and cortex glandular. Since I started I noticed I am able to handle stress a little better but still have weird fatigued syndrone when over stimulated or in a new environment or at the end of a long working day. For example, yesterday I went to the mall, after 10 minutes I felt drained. Not sleepy just drained. When I got home i was yawning but body didn't let me go to sleep. Then as usual..second wind picked up and hard time falling asleep.

I am also taking 100mg of progesterone (pill). I would tend to think the combo of both preg and progesterone would start to fill up my cortisol reseves. And yet last night I woke up at 2:30, 3:30 and 5;30 despite being on a benzo. I woke up from nightmares with that anxious feeling like I needed to pace with worry.

Since this normally is the time of month when progesterone should be at its highest, I thought maybe I am dealing with an overdose of the pros (pregnenolone and progesterone) and not enough estrogen. I was about to cut the pregnenolone dosage. I also have some symptoms of estrogen deficiency. I thought the insomnia and anxiousness was now a high cortisol issue and estrogen has a dampening effect on cortisol.

I was about to throw in the towel and reduce cortisol supoort supplements but then today i decided to do an easy 20 min spin on my bike. My bike is hooked up to a trainer so I control the resistance. I alternated between my easiest gear and second easiest gear.

The speed and intensity was very light (no more than 8 miles an hour). I never breathed hard or was out of breathe. In the second gear, my legs felt more fatigued. When I got off the bike, I felt instantly tired like my eyes could shut and go to sleep but at same time felt wired. My muscles and joints felt achy. I also felt short of breathe or breathily - almost panicky. I also had weird vein constriction issue in my hands.
This seems to be almost low cortisol symptoms....so confused.

Given the above..would you reduce or increase pregnonlone? Anyone else with similar experience??
