Guys!! I left my lips alone for a month I can see improvements !!

Good morning/ evening everyone!
I suffered from EC in the last 7 years.
I got it from a habit of picking at my lips.
Then I managed this condition by using different lip balms.
So the main root of EC for me is trauma and overuse of lip balms.

I used a steroid called diprosone prescribed by my dermatologist.
She said that crusts become thicker because of inflammation.
And once the inflammation is gone, the lips can start healing.
I used diprosone for a week and a half.
There was no peeling when I used it . I could smile, laugh and eat normally. I thought my EC was over but I was wrong.
As I stopped using diprosone, crusts started forming again.
My dermatologist said it is important to leave the lips alone and not put anything on them not even Vaseline.

I started leaving them COMPLETELY alone on 15/ sep. ( start of college)
People looked at my lips and kept licking their lips every time they saw me, I did not care about people. I just continued living my normal life.

After a month, the EC area reduced slightly, the inner part of the lips crack open and bleed, but the outer part is completely healed and softer than ever.

The top lip is progressing better than the bottom lip.
I am not healed yet and it is a long way to go, my doctor says I'll be healed in 6 months.

Believe me guys, for those of you who caused this condition by trauma/ lip balms, just eliminate the cause, let your lips heal. THERE IS HOPE
