Re: Do I have Legionnaires?

I had Legionnaire's disease this summer. July 23rd my skin felt sensitive. On the 24th I started dry heaving. I stayed in bed for 3 days, dry heaving all this time, I finally went to the hospital. By now I was coughing up blood and becoming very weak. I remember them taking xrays, then it becomes blank. I woke up 2 days later, (they had wanted to life flight me but we had tornado warnings, so, I was "ground flighted" by the life flight crew) I was in on a vent, had a feeding tube, and had stuff pumped out of my lungs for 4 days. I was out of work for 7 weeks, I've been back working for 3 weeks now, but am still recovering. It came on quite quickly. My symptoms were unlike others I've read about, I haven't traveled, or been in a hot tub, nothing out of the ordinary. I don't know if this will help you, but, good luck and I hope Legionnaire's isn't your illness.
