My progress on iodine and NB program.

I just wanted to post to anyone that it may be of interest to, what progress I've had with Lugol's. I had a large lump, fixed/unmovable, in the labia majora that had possibly been there at least a couple of years. I didn't have it checked out to find out what it is (long story).

I started Iodine (was already taking companion nutrients because I have Hashimoto's) and the lump disappeared in 3 weeks to a month's time. I was taking at least 50 mgs a day by then, I believe.

I also could barely walk but to the bathroom because of my hypothyroidism and adrenal issues and now can walk a little more than before but the best thing is with the ease that I walk and move compared to before.

I use to be so incredibly stiff and in pain as well as suffering from severe achiness as if I had a severe flu. I needed help just rolling over in bed. It felt like a punishment to move my body.

Now, I move so much more freely with so much less pain and can roll over and sit up on my own which was almost impossible before. I walk quickly on some days which was impossible before. Though I still don't walk much, it's 3 times the distance I could before.

This all played out over about 2 months time, though the energy started happening immediately upon taking it. It was a calming warmth type energy, not stimulating.

I have cut down on Iodine for a couple weeks (mostly stopped taking it) because I was having horrid nightmares and not sleeping well, which is not good for someone like me.

I'm positive the Iodine and thyroid glandular are causing the sleeplessness/nightmares because when I would cut back to just under 50 mgs of iodine the nightmare severity greatly lessened.

I tried taking just the raw thyroid glandular and the nightmares/sleeplessness still happened but in less severity. When I cut all thyroid supplementation out they stopped all together and much more restful sleep was the outcome.

I took Lugol's on it's own and again they would come back but with less severity if kept under 50mgs. If I went over 50 mgs they were horrible and intense and every night. They are probably overstimulating the adrenals. So, I just have to continue supporting adrenals through NB until they are able to handle the stronger load of thyroid supplementation.

It's important people know it didn't happen on the smaller doses, until I started pushing the 50mg limit. Apparently that is all my body could handle at the time. However, my adrenals oddly started working better and became able to handle more stress after starting iodine so it's odd, but I definitely have to keep iodine at a certain level for now. Too much is not good for the adrenals and too little is not good for the adrenals.

For anyone with adrenal exhaustion, the least bit of mental or physical stress made my adrenal area hurt and the pain went mostly away after supplementing with Lugol's. It didn't cure my adrenal issues but it definitely has made a very positive difference in the ability to tolerate some stressors!

I want to point out though, I could not tolerate any thyroid supplementation until I had been on a 6 month Nutritional Balancing program. I went from only tolerating a few flakes of kelp to a whole capsule to several capsules and then decided to take iodine instead.

The key for me was to build my health up on the NB program, take the companion nutrients so that my Hashi's was under control before starting iodine and taking no more than my body was ready to handle. Perhaps the key is getting magnesium levels up. I did experiment with this during the nightmares and it did help, but my body is only able to tolerate so much magnesium right now.

Oh, one more thing, I want to add that the first week I took the iodine, my multiple chemical sensitivity lessened and I could tolerate smelling burning firewood, which was so pleasant. Memories came back and senses came more alive. However, that was short lived for me. I am still very foggy headed and do not have the clarity of mind that many experience on iodine. I also have noticed much more detox on the iodine. Perhaps detoxing will bring about the clarity of mind.

Edit: I forgot to add that my breasts became much less lumpy, the upper pole fullness increased, and overall became a little fuller and slightly shaplier. My skin on my body became much softer over all. I also started getting a little ovarian pain as if something was working again down there.

Later, after starting iodine I started with progesterone cream and now have a period. Not sure if it's the iodine, progesterone cream or combo of both but I haven't had a period in years.

Edit again: Update. I went back to some iodine applied to the skin (as I said above I took a couple week break) and the anxiety I was starting to develop this past week went away. My adrenals feel stronger on some iodine as opposed to none.
