I'd get some different opinions from other DRs. Try an osteopath maybe? The bleeding MAY be your body cleansing & being on the pill would interfere with that process? I don't know your situation, but if you're taking the pill specifically because of your period frequency since fasting,... are your periods that frequent when you're not fasting? This just doesn't sound right to me. But I don't know the whole story. Never be afraid to get a second opinion though. Good luck.
