The Gospel
... and then, many centuries later, He sent His only begotten son, the perfect sinless Lamb of God whose heart was continually connected to the Father's in love, to provide redemption to those who will receive it through what He accomplished by His death on the cross and His resurrection. People were given the opportunity to repent of their sin/fleshiness/old nature and receive Him as Savoir and Lord, becoming born again of Spirit, becoming daughters and sons of the Living God through Jesus the Lord. They had the opportunity also to be baptized in the Holy Spirit to become much more deeply transformed into new creations in Christ as was true with the 120 in the upper room, so that by His Spirit and by continually abiding in Him as branches to the Vine, taking every thought, attitude and action captive and bringing them into obedience to Christ, they could live as (mostly) dead to flesh and live lives in the Spirit as children of God who are accepted by Him, hearing the Lord's living voice as His sheep and following Him, loving Him with all their hearts, minds, souls and strength, being made capable of surrendering unto Him in this way and entering into His rest only through Him and by His indwelling Spirit. This is the gospel and Lord Jesus made the way. Those with eyes to see, let them see.
