Food is by far my biggest expense.. in the month of August, I spent almost $1400 on food alone! That doesnt include paper products or detergents etc.
That's buying grass fed, privately raised beef, free range no antibiotics chicken and fresh produce. The only non "real" foods I bought were 3 packs of activia yogurt a week, bread, sloppy joe sauce, frosted mini wheats cereal, an ice cream cake for my sons birthday, 2 boxes of little devbi pumpkin cookies and sugar free gum.
Its too expensive to eat real food... finding it in the grocery store is difficult too.
