Can I take Malate Magnesium for Pain while I have amalgams in my mouth?

Hi, I have read MAGNESIUM is great for pain caused for mercury poisoning, my question is: CAN I TAKE MAGNESIUM MALATE if I have 4 Amalgams in my mouth? Or it will make it worse? Because Malate magnesium chelates just like ALA that chelates too and according to what I have read ALA can not be taking while one still have Amalgam in mouth.
