the pharisee, the tax collector, and Lord Jesus.

V: First of all John MacArthur does not claim to be an apostle,

E: True, but he is a false apostle nonetheless, one of the most powerful and influential figures at the head of one of the most massively damaging false teachings perpetuated throughout institutionalized christianity which is cessationism... as well as the massive lie that says "the bible is the only word of God, God no longer speaks and does not need to because His living voice was replaced by the bible". He has a big church, writes books, heads up conferences, etc. As big and as influential as he is, if he were actually working FOR God rather than AGAINST Him, He would likely be a true apostle like Chuck and Heidi. Another false apostle, by the way, is Calvin just in case you were interested. Wow the Spirit quenching religion of man strong delusion throughout the church perpetuated by that wolf!

v: Also, you need to actually open up the bible and understand who the Pharisees were. They were those that thought they were so very holy, and talked continually about how holy they were so they could make sure everyone knew how holy they were, all while they were not holy at all!

Well who does that really sound like? You! This is what you do constantly, bragging constantly about how holy you are, all while you are not holy and you have totally proven that in so many ways, one being in who you call the most Spirit filled in all of the nation, who are nothing but ravenous wolves!

You don't see me on here bragging constantly about how holy I am, because I point to one person who is the holy one, and that is Jesus Christ! I am the tax collector who beats her chest and cries out "have mercy on me Lord, a sinner!" You are the Pharisee who looks down on the tax collectors, and says, "thank God I'm not like them, oh how holy I am, how wonderful I am!"

e: dear vektek, unlike you, i read the bible in Spirit and Truth. This starts with being filled with the Holy Spirit and allowing the Spirit to teach me. I teach what Lord Jesus taught, which includes holiness, living holy unto Him as branches to the vine. The scriptures talk about dying daily to flesh and the Spirit in me has led me to live this way. I am not perfectly holy, but i certainly do my best to surrender to the Lord and ask Him to help me to be this or as close to this as imaginable. In truth, it would be a dream come true and i pray towards this every day, that any flesh that would attempt to rise up in me would be completely destroyed forever. I seek continually all throughout the day to reject every fleshy thought or attitude and cast them down at my Lord's feet, choosing instead Spirit living.

You misjudge me because you believe i am like that self righteous pharisee. Instead, i go before the Lord in repentance every day, as a saint that knows i need to continually seek realignment from my Lord and knowing that apart from Him this is not possible, asking Him to search my heart for any areas of fleshiness however small and however hidden. Any hint of darkness, any hint of unholiness. Even something like stress or something blocking the fullness of the Lord's joy from bursting through that do not align with Spirit living, i lay these down at the Lord's feet as sin in my deeply sincere desire to be aligned with His heart, His mind, and His essence. I know as you do that my Lord Jesus is my righteousness and it is only through Him that i am able to live no longer as a sinner (old life) but as a saint (born again, new life in the Spirit).

Now, when i look at the tax collector who is a sinner, pounding upon his chest, i do not look upon Him as a role model as you do, but rather, Christ in me reaches out to that man in compassion to help Him to get the breakthrough in the Lord he desires, and that he is in a place of humility to receive. This includes deliverance, Spirit and Truth counseling to help him to die to flesh and to live in Spirit, encouragement, emotional healing, baptism in the Holy Spirit, etc. I don't look down my nose at that man, rather, i see what i can do to help him and offer this help, much the way Lord Jesus did when He was here in the flesh. Helping people like that tax collector to grow in Christ is genuinely the life i live, searching for breast beating tax collectors who are humble and ready to receive the Lord's blessings. Many times this tax collector or others like him allow the Lord in me to help him and he gets massive breakthrough of the Lord in His life.

The stubborn pharisee, on the other hand, which is you, is hard hearted and does not see that he needs help. I would reach out to help him too and he would pridefully reject the offer "knowing" that he doesn't need any help and also being a stubborn hearted unbeliever where any prospects for miraculous breakthrough are concerned. Similar to the people the Lord Jesus encountered in the region "where He was not able to perform many miracles". Imagine john macarthur being approached for miraculous breakthrough prayer and you get the picture. The pharisee is wallowing in sin and overtaken by unclean spirits (religious spirit, hard heartedness against truth, anti christ spirit (Spirit quenching), hypocrisy, etc.), and never truly humbling their hearts before the Lord, never despising their sin and asking Him to help them to truly get it out. This is you also.
