Hard Heartbeat while water fasting?

Hello,

I am aiming for a 20 day Water Fast and I'm on day 4 of water only. Extra note: This is my first fast. Besides losing weight, I hope for the other benefits associated with fasting as I have read it greatly reduces blood pressure as I am "at risk."

I'm 31, 5'6" & female. I originally was 153 lbs but now I am 145.

I'm concerned though. The first day felt fine but on the 2nd, my heart would occasionally feel like it would be beating kind of hard. That feeling you get after you hold your breath under water for as long as you can.

Now on the 4th day, it's pretty much a constant feeling unless I'm laying down on the bed and resting. I do work full time so I am working everyday a 8-5 job and take rests in my car at lunch.

I downloaded a HR app and it says my rest HR when I first wake up in the morning is usually around 85ish and during normal rest is around 94ish. But when my heart is beating heard, it's around 102ish. When it's around 102, that's when I get the heavy heart beat feeling like it's thumping against my chest.

Is this normal? I also feel very sluggish today and I feel like I do breathe heavier then normal when my heart feels this way.

It can be very uncomfortable at times. I hope it doesn't last like this through out the entire fast.
