Blackheads?

I've just read that Iodine is good for blackheads applied directly on to them. Has anyone completely gotten rid of blackheads from taking Iodine internally?
Ya see, I have these stubborn blackheads and other clogged pores all over my chest, my back and my face. Just wondering if it might help. Possibly.. they could be caused by hormonal imbalance, so Iodine should sort that out?
