Re: Raw Vegan plus WD?
At the moment the I am eating raw on the warrior diet. I have a nutritional drink using a superfood blend in only water and maybe having 1 peach during the day. The super food blend is called Synergy. I use about 2 to 3 tea spoons per drink and maybe have 2 to 3 drinks through out the day. If there is going to be an intense workout or there is a knowing that hunger pains are going to come I use this raw protein powder called Warrior Food and I sometimes mix it with the 3 tea spoons of synergy in only water. Also I drink a lot of water! Have you thrown a bunch of leaves, nuts, and seeds in a blender and tried blending them... It doesn't work to good with out liquid. I use this concept on my body. There has to be enough liquid to match the food for digestion to be comfortable so the body isn't pulling water from the blood stream to digest what has been eaten and make one tired. At night time, or the overeating phase I scarf down a large salad with a variety of nuts such as cashews, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds. The base dressing is olive oil coated inside the bottom of the bowl or dish then 2 tablespoons of coconut butter mixed with 3 table spoons of coconut aminos and finally about 2 to 3 pinches of salt. Mix the dressing first then throw in the nuts because the kale or leaves usually are cold and cause the coconut butter to congeal making it harder to get the dressing on the nuts if the process is reversed. Then about a half of stalk of kale is chopped up real good and thrown in and mixed. I'm 5'7" and weigh about 130. Remember that chewing all the way until the food is completely pulverized is pertinent and it may cause the muscles in the jaw to become sore, but they will get used to it. And to do things cheaper you can use just sunflower seeds. I also throw 2 dates on top of the salad just to give the flavor spontaneity. Also I am a solar gazer and have been doing it for 7 months straight so I cannot be to sure what my appetite would be like if I wasn't solar gazing. Using caffeine will cause body irregularities and drinking almond milk has its disadvantages. Water can be great all the time, but it may take some getting used to as that being your only drink, unless your willing to make your own nut milk. Be careful with honey because the body will become extremely sensitive to sugars and honey is for bees and only bees when your body becomes this responsive. One thing that would benefit greatly is colon cleansing/body detoxing and an enema. Reason being is that nutrients are absorbed in the intestines and having a clean intestinal tract is essential when you eat raw.If you don't detox you will get all kinds of stomach cramps and pains. There maybe steps needed to take prior to just dropping into the warrior diet completely as a raw vegan. It is essential that in the beginning that you eat if your under nourished regardless of the phase. That is why the superfood powders are recommended. Listening to your body and knowing the difference between cravings and hunger. If you cannot think straight then your hungry. If you are weak, then your hungry. There isn't any reason that you should feel like crap unless your cleaning the crap out of you Aka DETOXING. I would recommend that maybe going on a raw sattvic diet as much as possible and eating small meals trough out the day until you are sure you are detoxed enough to be able to receive all the nutrients in your intestines and colon. Otherwise it is pointless to continue if you have a dirty colon. If you cannot get a hold of synergy because of its cost then the recommendation of eating figs, peaches, raspberries, blue berries, and/or black berries through out the day with lots of water each serving, and a serving is about 2 handfuls. I would drink about 2 glasses of water before and one glass after. Then you need to get out of the kitchen or garden and do something to take your hungry mind off of eating more. Allow the food to raise your leptin chemical to tell your brain you are good. Food is like a drug sometimes... You got to wait for it to take effect. If you drink coffee I would recommend not to, because once you apply the drinking a lot of water prior to ingesting any food then the body will not get tired, but if the body is stimulated it will crutch on that stimulator. Coffee taste great, and even decaf has caffeine. The best way to give your warrior diet importance is not to think about it in terms of fear, and willing to make sacrifices for it or against it depending the situation. Just as someone trains for a greater desire, the training becomes enjoyable.
