Bile production

Bile production is increased by eliminating more of it and an easy way of achieving this is by eating certain foods with soluble fibre such as pectin which is readily found in apples and fruit. If you can eliminate 20% more bile a day this will increase the production of new bile.

It is also advantageous to increase the flow rate so that the bile can be given on demand. Bile is delivered from the gallbladder and liver simultaneously. Light coloured and orange stools indicate that gallbladder isn't contributing fully and is a sign of a bile system that is slowing down. The bile flow rate can be increased by opening up the bile ducts and controlling sphincters by eating bile producing foods and 'good' fats, sometimes with the help of herbs called cholagogues and choleretic; see link.

I do not subscribe to the benefits of malic acid in dissolving stones and I have yet to see any evidence. This does mean it doesn't have a benefit just that I have yet to be convinced.

As well as thinking about cleansing also make lifestyle changes.

Cyclobenzaprine is used for FMS as a muscle relaxant it is reported that the blood plasma concentration increases in people with liver impairment; it can cause hepatotoxicity for a small number of people.
