Another comment added that most of the reported cases of argyria resulted from the use of silver nitrate, various ionic silver salts, or highly concentrated mild silver protein. The comment concluded that the dilute,mild silver protein products marketed today are similar to pre-1938 colloidalsilver solutions and do not cause argyria.
