Since starting daily 1 gram+ doses of SSKI I've been experiencing a very bitter taste - especially upon awakening - that is reminiscent of a bad sinus infection. I'm not especially concerned over it, just slightly annoyed. Is this possibly from sinus drainage?

I've been supplementing with Lugol's at 50 to 100mg 5 or 6 days per week for over a year and only occasionally get the runny nose associated with high-dose iodine.
