Mercury link to anxiety & mental health issues?
Hello,
I had my 8
Amalgams removed 6 months ago and since then I have been on a strict gluten/dairy/sugar free diet. I have been using the Cutler protocol for 2 months - 6 rounds of 12.5 mgs of DMSA and now am taking DMSA+ALA. I am taking a lot of vitamins and minerals, mainly B, complex, magnesium, C, E, zinc and selenium.
Positives since starting rounds:
Candida issues have reduced by 50%, mainly itching and stomach issues. The itching is still apparent but has lost the intensity for sure. Some early improvements with energy and brain fog. Have had moments where my
Depression has definitely lifted and I've felt happier.
Negatives:
Some insomnia on higher dose of ALA, now 30mg every 3 hours. Have had some worsening of adrenal issues such as extreme tiredness and anxiety, sometimes faint feelings after exercise. My mood has been up and down, much better while on the round then crashing a little a couple of days after I end it.
Having said that I wanted to put you in the picture briefly about my history:
My symptoms have consisted of depression, anxiety, social phobia, self-consciousness, shyness, OCD, muscle and back problems, concentration and focus issues and a general sense of not being connected - lost. I have had a lot of therapy which has helped to a certain extent. I have been on ant-depressants for 12 years.
One issue that has been with me since adolescence - say 30 years - is pangs of adrenal anxiety in the solar plexus. It has been there so long it is so normal. In fact I used to think everyone had it! It just fires off a lot of the time especially when I am coming into contact with others. It's fear and emotions. I don't know what I'm fearful of, years of therapy having not full explained it. This then led me to mercury and maybe it's linked. To say it has ruled and taken over my life is an understatement. I have managed it somehow.
I just wondered if anyone else experienced this and what you think about the mercury connection?
I've never spoken to anyone who has had this so would appreciate it if you know anything or can relate to it in any way.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
