Yea, probably. The build up obviously comes off (way) earlier that way, but as long as there is a barrier (vaseline/aquaphor or similar), it shouldn't be much of a problem in my mind.
Healing2021 has for example mostly stopped his build up doing moist healing, I believe. MikePylon (if I remember correctly) actually got rid off his EC.
The point is to not cause any more inflammation from the outside by forcefully removing build up. The immunosupressive drugs should (if they do work for someone) be able to stop the inflammation from the inside. So I'm not sure why it would be such a bad thing.
