Yes iodine works GREAT to eliminate dandruff for 3 months at time. Just mix 4 drops of Lugols 5% into 1 ounce of water and apply to your scalp, then towell dry. Difficult areas may need to be treated for 2 or 3 days. The dandruff vanishes on contact.

The same iodine-water mix will eliminate thrush - white tongue as a gargle & swish around the mouth,
