Using sodium bicarbonate to raise pH and wipe out Hepatitis C

Hi,

Has anyone here ever attempted to use sodium bicarbonate to raise their pH and thereby wipe out the Hepatitis C virus? Is this a possible cure? Any insight or information would be much appreciated!
