Well... the bag that I bought says right on it to avoid getting it wet - even the slightest amount of moisture will make DE treatment ineffective. So, I called the company and asked why and asked about internal use and they said when it gets wet, it no longer has the ability to cut and dehydrate and acts as more of a clay internally to absorb impurities. So, that burst my bubble a little bit.
