The probiotics in kefir grains love milk. Once they are mixed with their favorite food, milk, the bacteria will start munching on the lactose, fermenting the milk as a result. Our guts have milky lining called candidiasis: it contains yeast and other not beneficial for us bacteria. When milk kefir gets to the gut it eats "milky traces"(Candida) as it lives on it,.
