You said: "Since there are who knows how many different flavors (denominations) of Christianity, they all can't be "the only true way" to God."

I say amen and amen to that!!! There is a fierce battle going on for our souls. The enemy of our souls not only uses false religions to lead us astray, but he uses the many different flavors of Christianity to lead us astray. Vektek said in an awesome post not long ago that most people who represent Christianity are not real Christians themselves. This may not be her exact words, but the message is so very true. I believe that there are more false ministers in Christianity than there are true ministers. Satan is smart and cunning. He knows he will win many by leading them into a false Christianity. They use the same Bible that we use. They preach about someone named Jesus. They use all the Christian terms. The problem is they are twisting up the message of the Bible into a falsehood. They are not preaching about the real Jesus. They are preaching about the other Jesus that the Bible warns us about. This other Jesus cannot save us. All this is in the enemy's plan to deceive us. He will try to lure us into believing these false gospels. The good news is that people who study the Bible on their own and seek the Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth can recognize these false gospels. They study the truth so they can recognize the false. The sad part is that many people are too lazy to study the Bible and pray on their own. They look to a man, a minister, or someone else to do this for them. Those kind of people can easily be deceived because false messages are preached everywhere. Just turn on your TV. They will be easily found. The true message is not as easily found unless you read the Bible and seek the Holy Spirit for yourself to guide you. The Bible warns us over and over again about these false ministers, false teachers, and false gospels, but people continue to let themselves be controlled and intimated by these messages.

There is only one true way to God. That way is through the real Jesus of the Bible, not a twisted version Jesus which the Bible calls another Jesus. The Bible is clear that this other Jesus cannot save anybody. This other Jesus is just an imaginary Jesus created by the minds of men. This is why it is important to believe the truth about what the Bible says about Jesus lest we find ourselves following a false Jesus and end up losing our souls. The Bible says that satan comes as an angel of light to deceive us. This can be in the setting of a false Christianity as well as a false religion.
