Vektek, what is the Bible to you?

Vektek, I am curious on your view regarding this. Do you think that we can receive salvation from the words of the Bible alone or is it through our prayer and reflection on the words and our faith in Christ about whom we learn in the Bible that grants our salvation?

You seem to be very sure of your own interpretation of the words of the Bible. How do you know you are interpreting all of the words correctly? Because, certainly much of it is unclear and needs the discernment of much prayer. When you read the scripture and come to a certain understanding, how do you know that your understanding is correct? Is it because some preacher or teacher taught you that is what it meant or is it through your own personal prayer that you learned that? And if it was from a certain teacher, how do you know they were teaching it correctly? You seem to put a lot of faith in the Gospel as it is taught in 'traditional' Churches, with core concepts as being essential to Christianity. How do you know that these core concepts are correct and that the 'traditional' views that are generally agreed upon among various Christian churches are the correct ones?

I am asking these questions in earnest. I am curious about your views on this because I have read a lot of your posts that seem to just be stating the words of other people and I would like to understand more about your viewpoint. I have only been hanging out in this forum for a little while.
