One time shot for prostate cancer.

My husband's friend told him his Dr said there is a one time shot that will kill prostate cancer but Medicare, due to the cost, won't pay for it till all other treatments have been exhausted. I do not believe this and I can't find anything about it on an internet search. Has anyone else heard of it? If this were true why are wealthy men dying of prostate cancer?
