Prednisone and Protopic

Tried Prednisone pills in conjunction with Protopic this summer. Started with 80mg of Pred and tapered down to 10mg over the course of 2 weeks. Started using Protopic like 5 days after I had started using the Prednisone. Kept using it for about three more weeks. Did not cure the condition. Nor did it seem to help it.

I just exfoliated by getting my lips wet in the shower and by trying to remove any remaining white skin with a Q-tip. It's the first time I have done this in over two months. It didn't go so well and it stressed me out bad. I am wondering how I am going to be able to hold down a job again.

I was on the verge of an emotional meltdown a couple of months ago after having lived with this sin on my lips for the past 15 years. So I tried to heal it again after previous failures. This summer, I have taken Prednisone, Protopic, Vectical, and Fluocinonide. I also tried soaking my lips in salt water constantly. Nothing worked. In fact, the combo of salt water and Vectical harmed by killing some of the remaining natural skin. Now those areas are chronically inflammed as well and my lips are just generally a lot worse (i.e., bigger, redder, and more inflammed).

Although I'm beginning to wonder how a God could let someone suffer so, I ask someone to pray for all of our souls. This has to be the most debilitating medical condition that no one ever paid attention to. My nasty lips rule my world. Tweet
