Re: Tachycardia after taking Lugol's

I actually started taking Iodine because I had afib. Initially it (as well as many other nutrients I tried) made it worse but after some time it returned to pre Iodine levels and I would say even slightly improved but did not go away all together.

Ive been going down the list of essential nutrients adding them in and see if they have any impact on my health. Iodine/selenium made a significant difference in general health. B12,B9 and nicanin also have improved my afib significantly, although its still not 100% gone.

The problem with afib is it can be caused by so many things, everything prom pathogens to one of many nutrients. Intestinal pathogens put off a lot of toxins that can affect nerve signaling. The fact you responded so harshely to Iodine almost makes me think you have an intenstinal pathogen issue and the iodine, besides the normal halid detox was causing a lot of pathogen die off which increased toxic loads and exacerbated afib.

Did your docs test LP(a), homocystine, or mma levels?

Also consider pauling therapy, afib can be caused by minor blockages which can be reversed with pauling therapy. Niacin does a great job of lowering homocystine leveles and when they are high the incidence of afib increases.
