Re: Does somebody know what Vacuum is ?

In a vacuum particles are seen to spontaneously come in and out of existence and as a result there is all sorts of theories of “physical nothingness”. IMO the problem is basically what is energy? No one has a definition. There are definitions of types of energy but not of what is energy. It is this fundamental question that needs answering that could explain the particles that come in and out of existence in a vacuum and hence to explain what is a vacuum really.

There is plenty of evidence of an aspect of reality that is non-physical. I don’t see a true dualism as such. I believe that there are two aspects of reality that are difficult to comprehend because all of our concepts relate to the physical reality. However it would explain the horizon effect and the measurement problem and non-locality.

I believe that the non-physical aspect of reality is a point which is dimensionless and timeless but at the same time in a one-to-one relationship with every point in the physical aspect of reality. Thus a vacuum is just empty spacetime and the particles we see arising and disappearing have to do with the interaction between the two aspects of reality.

Most scientists are opposed to a non-physical aspect of reality but I think that has more to do with economics and funding in particular than anything else. Physicists get funded to do what the rest of the scientific community want from them. The old days of Science for the sake of Science are gone. It is all about commerce.

A non-physical reality means a serious paradigm shift, which is coming, but which many are trying to hold back. There are big problems with the current scientific paradigm in many areas and not only in physics.
