A Good Laugh or Cry?

"Did you know that in S. Korea, the federal government pays for their teachers go go through the first few levels of Maum Meditation?"

I feel like laughing and crying both over this comment. Since when does the federal government of any nation guarantee that something is truth? Since when does something being taught in schools guarantee the truth of it?

The reason this comment hit me so hard is because I taught in the public school system for years. I think this qualifies me to know a little about what goes on in these places.
