Dehydration/Hydration

Hi, I had gone by what I thought were basic CureZone principles in my approach to water and hydration in determining whether I was hydrated or not. I am on a prescription drug and drink caffeinated drinks daily. I also experience dry mouth and get a dry throat/hoarse voice when I talk too much. Thus, I figured I was dehydrated. I was really feeling it last night and went to the emergency room for dehydration. The doctor did all the tests for dehydration -- blood tests for the kidneys and a urinalysis -- and concluded that I'm not dehydrated. I don't understand this. Does this mean that coffee has no effect on hydration? I do know that before I started drinking caffeinated drinks daily about 6 years ago, my skin looked more hydrated -- no dry skin issues. Also, when I took Megahydrate for a little while -- a silica-based product -- my skin again looked a lot more hydrated. Thank you.
