Well, I unexpectedly came across this old post and read it. Great information. However I must say for safety reasons that the Potassium Iodide that you linked is not meant for human consumption.

It is "Lab Grade" and that means it isn't enough pure for human consumption. You have to look for ACS or USP Grade. Tweet
