Re: Terrible fecal body odor- Need help bad

'd like to share my experience with intense, foul Body Odor (NOT perspiration odor or flatulence odor) in the hope that it will help someone else find an answer for this embarrassing problem. This has been an ongoing problem for me since weight loss surgery several years ago. Before I retired, there were a few complaints at work about a foul odor coming from my work area. At first I couldn't smell it myself, but I recently began to smell a sickening odor, seemingly emanating from my skin. In spite of an intense hygiene regimen, showering several times a day, nothing worked. I could actually smell it while I was still in the shower! I was too embarrassed to even go to the doctor because the smell was so bad and I was so embarrassed. I spent many, many frantic hours searching the internet for a solution and found this website. I think I've read nearly every post in this forum as well as other places on the internet in an effort to solve the problem. To make a long story short, after much research I discovered that, for me, the problem was a matter of poor digestion and food staying in the intestine and creating bacterial odor, which did indeed come out through my pores. It's similar to “leaky gut syndrome” and a few other things I've run across in these posts. I'm not even sure what specific food groups were the culprit, but it didn't really matter because I found the solution. This is what worked for me, and I'm hoping it will provide the answer for some others, as well. I started taking probiotics (Culturelle) and purchased some digestive enzymes (Digest Gold by a company called Enzymedica). At first I took them both three times a day, but after a week or two I was able to cut back to taking both once a day. I'm not making a recommendation for those 2 particular products....I'm only mentioning them because that's what worked for me. The Digest Gold was pretty expensive, but I selected it because it had one of the highest concentrations of the digestive enzymes of any I found. I was desperate and would have paid anything for something that worked. Now I feel as if I've solved the problem and I'm thrilled to have my life back. I continue with the maintenance dose of one probiotic and one digestive enzyme pill a day. I hope that someone out there will benefit from my experience and regain their life!
