Yep, I had similar symptoms after 3 week 400mg bid prescribed doses of Albendazole for medically confirmed gnathostomiasis (though still not killed all the little bastards completely after several doses over the past year and a half).

After these doses my liver ALT enzymes had shot up to around 98. Healthy is below 40, and it could take as long as 3 months before it returned to normal levels (though that was the last time where I had double dosed a few times, and usually it took around a month).

You really need to be under medical monitoring of liver function tests and total blood count if you can. (though I understand why you aren't, given the sheer incompetence of doctors in diagnosing helmentic infections.) Tweet
