insomnia, exercise and me.

i had been exercising daily for a long time and recently for one reason or another i have stopped. now i'v hit really bad insomnia for a few nights in a row and feel to tired to do anything but lay in bed and not sleep even more.

how can one get back into the routine if they can't sleep to have enough energy to do it?

is it ok to just go for a walk say if i got no sleep or only an hour or 2 of sleep for the past few nights?

i live in a mountain area with lots of uphills and downhills and an amazing view all around. i want to get back into it cause mainly i want to sleep but its an exercise that i enjoy (once i actually do it) unlike other exercises like running, etc that i don't like and am not willing to do.

also considering trying yoga and meditation which i don't know how to do at the moment.
