salt problems

When I take my salt I tend to retain water. So much so that my clothing becomes tight and I've considered buying some upsized "salt garments" for those days. I sip about a tsp of Redmond Real salt in water through the morning, and of course salt my food. If I use more than that though I tend to have issues, as the stronger salt solution functions similar to a colonoscopy prep for me. I've never been able to make salt loading work the way it says in the instructions with only "copious urination" afterwards (sorry if that's TMI, but it's a real problem for me).

From what I have read a lot of people do NOT have these problems and actually feel better on salt. So why am I so badly affected? I take about 150mg of Lugol's in the morning with other cofactors throughout the day, if that helps. Thanks for any advice.
