They are amazing creatures, they find their spouse and live together forever after. Come back to the same place year after year. I am lucky to have this place near a lake; where I can observe wild life; their do`s and dont`s.
Like the food issue; feeding wild birds low quality loafs of bread; they rather starve than eating it. (the seagulls are an exception)
- And even in the coldest winters, now way any of them would eat linseeds.
Nor would the deers, or the squirrels.
But my iodinated rye bread; they all love.
So, these swans took several mgs, much more than some of the forum members take, then adjust for their weight.. Yes, and this morning driving to work, they were heading for the feeding spot:)
