Hi,
I currently have hypothyroidism but it wasn't the case a couple of years ago so I have no idea what triggered it. The blood work shows the result of the TSH being 5.030 from the reference range 0.450-4.500 . I am however generally against medications so I was wondering even if they are hormone replacements, are they like other medications with major side effects? Also, is there anything that I can take like herbs or something instead of medications to naturally fix the problem?
The only medication that I am currently willing to take is a mini birth control pill called Errin in order to cease menstruation as I can't tolerate it the least bit. Could this have affected my thyroid hormones maybe?
My other problem is that even though I do have some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, I have no idea if it's just from the thyroid problem.
